Terms and Conditions
Last updated 7 August 2026
What you are agreeing to when your institute runs exams on ZensExam. Some clauses are still being confirmed and are marked as such rather than filled in with something that sounds right.
Who the agreement is with
These terms are between Zensbot LLC and the institute that holds the account. Students use the platform through their institute and do not contract with us.
What you get
Access to the platform for the number of students in your plan: the question bank, exam templates for the qualifications you enable, exam delivery, marking, analytics, the Study Hub, and your own branding on all of it.
Access is by approval
Institutes apply and we approve accounts individually. We are taking a small first cohort so we can work closely with each institute, so we may decline or delay an application.
Student numbers
Plans are sized by how many students you can enrol. A student counts once regardless of how many courses they take.
If you reach your limit, everything keeps working — nobody is locked out and no exam in progress is affected. You simply cannot add students beyond the limit until you move to a larger plan.
Money
Institutes pay Zensbot LLC. Students never pay us. Whether you charge your own students for access is entirely your decision and can be set per course; where you do charge them, that transaction is between you and your student.
Being confirmed. Prices, billing frequency, currency, and payment terms are being finalised. Invoicing is manual today: we agree a price with you in writing before anything is owed.
Your content is yours
Questions, exams and study material you create remain yours. We store and process them to run the service for you, and we do not use them to train our own models or share them with other institutes.
Where you use AI assistance to draft questions, the draft is yours on the same terms — and it stays a draft until one of your people approves it.
Acceptable use
- Do not upload material you do not have the right to use, including copyrighted past papers you have not licensed.
- Do not attempt to access another institute's data, or to circumvent exam security.
- Do not resell platform access to another institute as if it were your own product.
What proctoring is, and is not
Proctoring on this platform is browser-based: it detects and records signals such as leaving the exam window, and escalates from a warning to a log to an automatic submission according to thresholds you set.
It is a deterrent. It is not a guarantee that a candidate has not cheated, and it must not be presented to your students or to an awarding body as one. We would rather say this plainly here than have you discover it later.
No affiliation with awarding bodies
ZensExam is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the IRS, ACCA, ICAP, or the IELTS partners. Exam packs reproduce a published format so that practice is realistic; they are not official practice materials, and passing a mock here predicts nothing on its own.
Availability
We aim to keep the platform available whenever your students need it, and we will give notice of planned maintenance where we can.
Being confirmed. A formal service-level commitment and maintenance-window policy are being defined. Until then we make no contractual uptime guarantee, and we would rather tell you that than imply one.
Ending it
You can stop using the platform at any time and take your data with you.
Being confirmed. Notice periods, refund treatment for a part-used term, and how long data stays available for export after you leave are being confirmed.
Governing law
Being confirmed. The governing law and the forum for disputes are being confirmed. Ask us before you sign and we will put the current position in writing.
